These seven digital trees are a poetic response to the concept that an average human needs approximately seven trees per year to supply enough oxygen for survival. This sparked a question: Which trees are these? Do palm trees and bonsais count? How does human interaction through care, cultivation, or destruction affect a tree’s ability to support our life? Each tree in this work tells a quiet story. And as a collection, they reflect not only on the oxygen they should us, but also on the imprint we leave on them and the world.
